About Us:

The Warrior Mind Training program was developed in conjunction with Veterans, historians, martial artists, and with professionals in the medical field, including doctorates of neuroscience, to integrate and present the Warrior Mind Training mental hygiene tools and techniques. This training is based on mind focusing techniques that have been utilized by warriors for thousands of years to maintain focus during battle and to reintegrate themselves into society after the battle is over. By combining these powerful mind focusing techniques with the healing properties of music, warriors can strengthen and battleproof their minds.

All of our senior instructors have a minimum of 15 years of experience practicing mental focus and mind training. All introductory-level instructors have successfully completed the Warrior Mind Training “Train the Trainer” certification program.

Warrior Mind Training classes are available to military personnel:  Active Duty, Reserve or Retired. Although the program is uniquely designed for warriors, adult-aged military family and friends are also welcome to attend.  Military dependents under the age of 18 may attend only with a legal guardian present.

The Warrior Mind Training program was presented at the Marine Corps Combat Operational Stress Conference (COSC) in San Diego, CA in August, as a part of Camp Lejeune’s ‘Mixed Martial Arts, Yoga and Meditation - A Holistic Approach as a Non-Traditional Alternative Therapy to PTSD and TBI’ presentation.

During the late winter and spring 2009, Warrior Mind Training skills were taught at Camp Bucca, Iraq, by WMT student trainers. During these weekly sessions, the WMT Deep Listening techniques and mindfulness-based techniques to increase situational awareness were taught to deployed US Soldiers at this internment facility for Iraqi detainees.

Warrior Mind Training launched weekly live web-based classes in May. This 4-week series of online WMT “Basic Training” classes covers the WMT Deep Listening technique and the WMT Battleproofing Toolkit. These classes are designed for service members in remote locations who cannot attend on-site classes in person. The 4-week series runs each month.

A joint service training course concluded in June to provide Warrior Mind Training to Cobb County, Georgia’s Police, Firefighter and 911 Emergency Management personnel who are also Army, Air Force, and Marine Reservists and Veterans.

The data results from a Warrior Mind Training survey study conducted earlier this year (February through June 2009) were released in August. This initial study, conducted in a targeted subset of WMT classes, shows program effectiveness statistics on key measurements in a population with an average of 2 deployments and a 64% diagnosis rate of PTSD and/or TBI.
